Los Angeles (E! Online) -
Shh! Don't tell fans of his latest tough-guy shoot-'em-up Max Payne, but Mark Wahlberg is just a big old softie. The father of three has finally set the date for his wedding to Rhea Durham, the mother of his children.
"We're talking about getting married in August," Wahlberg revealed at a press conference for Max Payne Sunday.
You must have a good reason for picking August, right, Marky? "It's a good month." OK!
So Hollywood, pencil that in—but don't check your mailboxes for that save the date notice. Adds Wahlberg: "We're not inviting yet."

Los Angeles (E! Online) -
High School Musical 3 isn't out for a few weeks, but the cast has already said their goodbyes and, at a press conference Sunday, spilled about plans for the future.
Resident dreamboat Zac Efron has two movies completed and awaiting releases—17 Again and Me and Orson Welles—but there is one particular project we're most concerned about interested in. That would be the remake of Footloose, starring Zac and directed by HSM's Kenny Ortega.
The Zefron gave us an official update at a press conference. "Footloose is coming together, actually," he told us. "We're trying to figure out the right way to do it, but yeah. It seems like it's going t |

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -
It was not his stock fund or 401k plan that was in jeopardy, but to Chinese director Wong Kar Wai, it was just as -- if not far more -- important. It was his movie, "Ashes of Time" that could have been lost forever.
In the midst of the Asian financial collapse of the late 1990s, Wong began a project to restore his martial arts movie, "Ashes of Time," and the result is "Ashes of Time Redux," which began playing for the first time in U.S. theatres last weekend and will travel around the world in weeks to come.
Wong views "Redux" as more than a film that has been restored to remove scratches in the print or improve sound. While that has been don |

Leonardo DiCaprio? Russell Crowe? Nope.
If you wanted a movie star that turned on—and turned out—the young audience this weekend, then your best option wasn't DiCaprio or Crowe, or their A-list-credentialed Body of Lies.
"I think they went for Quarantine, obviously," Exhibitor Relations box office analyst Jeff Bock said today.
The $12 million horror movie "starring" a team of TV actors, led by Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter, trumped the $100 million, Ridley Scott-directed political thriller, $14.2 million to $13.1 million, per studio estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations.
And that wasn't the worst of it for Body of Lies. |

PARIS - Officials say that a John Travolta movie has suspended filming in one of the Paris area's toughest housing projects after 10 cars to be used in the movie were burned.
Filming of some scenes of the action movie "From Paris With Love" was supposed to start this week but local officials and the production company say it was put on hold because the cars were burned by unknown suspects early Monday.
Cars are regularly burned in French housing projects, most famously during rioting that raged for three weeks in 2005 in poor neighborhoods across the country.
The mayor's office of Montfermeil, where the housing project is located, says 90 residents were to serve as extras. The Europacorp production co |

HONG KONG - Despite landing roles alongside Tom Cruise and Bruce Willis, Maggie Q says Asian actors still have a hard time getting good roles in Hollywood movies.
The 29-year-old actress, whose full name is Maggie Quigley, told The Associated Press in an interview Tuesday that 90 percent of the scripts she receives are written for Caucasian female characters.
"The first part of it is going into a room (for an audition) and trying to quell this stigma that people have about Asians only doing certain kinds of roles and Asians only being looked at a certain way," Quigley said. "You run into these stereotypes a lot."
She was speaking after a press conference in Hong Kong to promote the video game "Need fo |
