Review: `Madagascar' serves up same old menagerie - AP

A giraffe in love with a hippo, a zebra with an identity crisis, a lion desperate to win his newfound daddy's respect the makers of "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" could have plunked their heroes down in a therapist's office for an animals-with-issues session.

Instead, they maroon them on the African mainland for what amounts to more of the same: a shrill retread of the 2005 animated hit "Madagascar."

Voice stars Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer and Jada Pinkett Smith return, along with Sacha Baron Cohen and Cedric the Entertainer.

Operating on the principle that the bigger the menagerie, the merrier the movie, the filmmakers tack on fresh characters to the point of distraction, with the late Bernie Mac among the newcomers as dad to Stiller's Alex

Jury: Keanu Reeves doesn't owe paparazzo - AP

It's a most excellent outcome for Keanu Reeves: The "Matrix" actor doesn't owe a dime to the paparazzo who sued him.

After deliberating for less than three hours, jurors unanimously rejected the civil lawsuit Monday, ruling that Reeves is not responsible for the photographer's alleged injuries. Alison Silva had asked the jury to award him $711,974, which includes medical bills, lost wages and punitive damages.

"I respect the jury's decision," Silva told reporters outside the Los Angeles County Superior Court after the verdict was read. "That's what we were here for since the beginning."

Silva said he would continue to work as a paparazzo despite the jury's decision.

Would ever attempt to snap Reeves' photo again?

"Why not? It's business," he respo

Silva claimed that the star of "The Matrix" "Speed" and "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" struck him with his Porsche in March 2007, causing him to fall and injure his left wrist.

Over the course of five days, jurors heard how Silva gave contradictory statements about what happened and even saw a video of the celeb shooter using his supposedly damaged han

Jury reaches verdict in Keanu Reeves civil case - AP

The jury has reached a verdict in a paparazzo's civil case against Keanu Reeves.

The verdict will be announced after all parties involved are gathered in a Los Angeles courtroom. Deliberations began Friday afternoon but quickly concluded for the weekend.

Alison Silva is seeking payment for medical bills and lost wages, claiming the actor hit him with his Porsche in March 2007 while Silva was shooting photos.

Jurors had to wade through conflicting accounts of the incident. Silva says Reeves hit him with his bumper, but the actor insists he never made contact and the photographer tripped himself up.

The jury of six men and six women had listened to testimony since Tuesday.

Bollywood's Shah Rukh will play his age - Reuters

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan sheds his Casanova image for a new film, basing his character on a middle-aged man he met while hosting a popular game show on Indian television.

Khan, who turned 43 on Sunday, has mostly played the young romantic lead in a career spanning nearly two decades and 60 films.

But for filmmaker Aditya Chopra's "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi," Khan casts off his designer suits and jeans to play a bespectacled government employee in ill-fitting trousers.

"I want to play the exact opposite of Raj and Rahul, the romantic hero that I have played all these days," Khan said at a press conference on Sunday.

"I want to show that it is special to be ordinary, which is why I am doing this film."

Khan, Bol
