The Ten Happiest Occupations in America

Yahoo lists the 10 happiest occupations in America as follows:

1. Clergy
2. Firefighters
3. Transportation, ticket, and reservation agents such as travel agents
4. Architects
5. Special education teachers
6. Actors and directors
7. Science technicians
8. Miscellaneous mechanical and repairing occupations
9. Industrial engineers
10. Airline pilots and navigators

They tried to determine what made people in these occupations happier than most, but there's no clear-cut answer. Anyone out there want to venture a guess why people in these occupations are happier? Or maybe you're in one of them and can tell us first-hand what makes these so great.

Personally, I'm VERY happy in my job, though it's not on t

How I Easily Improved My Investment Returns Using Vanguard Admiral Shares

Not long ago I told you all how I'm reorganizing my investments. This post will give a bit more detail on what I'm doing. Specifically, it will tell how I saved some money while investing and thus will improve my investing return.

Spend and give away less than 3% of your total net worth each year.

Increase your net worth by more than 5% from year to year.

Here's where I fall on all of these:

1. Yes, we save more than 20% of our earned income each year.

2. Not exactly sure what they're talking about here. Our net worth is always increasing (unless the market tanks like this year), so we don't lose anything (much less 3%) -- if that's what they are suggesting (which I think it is). I find it hard to believe that they mean you spend/give an amo
