MobiTV said Tuesday that it has struck a content deal with network TV provider CBS (now the parent company of CNET News) to bring some of its most popular TV shows to mobile phones.
For the first time, MobiTV will be offering a CBS channel as part of its $10 a month service. MobiTV subscribers will be able to get full episodes of several CBS hits such as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Numb3rs," "CSI: NY," and "The Young and the Restless." Viewers will also be able to access video on demand news, sports and comedy clips from CBS Mobile. Add electronics retailer Best Buy to the list of places you can get a used iPhone cheap.
Best Buy is now selling refurbished Apple iPhone 3G models at a $50 discount to brand-new, unused models, according to the Reuters news agency. The lower prices of $149 for the 8GB iPhone (normally $199) and $249 for the 16GB iPhone (normally $299)--with a two-year service contract with AT&T contract--apply to devices that were returned to the store within 30 days of their initial purchase.
The move comes a little more than a week after megaretailer Wal-Mart Stores began selling iPhones at $197 for the 8GB model and $297 for the 16GB model.
Refurbished iPhones are also available from AT&T, the sole wireless carrier for the devices. Apple itself has also s |

Thanks to Google, they know where you live. Thanks to Twitter, they know when you floss your teeth.
Now a devious, perhaps ludicrously insane, hacker has taken it further. He (must be a 'he.' Women can spell and are never rude) found his way into the twitterdom of celebrities and tinkered with their tweets.
For example, he attempted to suggest to twitterers of Britney Spears foul words that would surely never have emerged from her imagination. He implied to followers of Rick Sanchez that the CNN anchor partakes of scientifically concocted substances, surely a (free)baseless lie.
Even the President-elect's updates were allegedly downgraded to the level of a sad shock jock. On the other hand, Bill O'Reilly's falsified twittering, while misspelled, was, to some, ra |

To most people the USB stick is a humble, innocuous device that does nothing more than help them tote around their most important files.
But to the US Department of Defense (DoD), the USB stick has a dark side - one that criminally-minded hackers are only too eager to exploit.
In late November, the US DoD imposed a temporary ban on the use of flash drives and other removable, recordable media such as CDs, DVDs and floppy disks. The ban applied to users of both the classified and unclassified networks the US military operates.
The order was sent out to help the security staff at the DoD combat the spread of a Windows worm - a self-propagating program. In this case the malicious program was a variant of the SillyFDC worm known as Agent.btz.
This lurks unseen on USB drives |
