Media Center Edition 2005 - Speed up Navigation by Removing Animation

2. Select "General".

Electronic Mail - Turn Off HTML When Responding to Mailing Lists
Have you considered joining a discussion-based e-mail list? There are many lists available for meeting people, sharing ideas, or general chitchat about particular subjects. While many lists are open to everyone, one rule you should follow is to always post in plain-text format.

Many e-mail programs such as Microsoft Outlook default to HTML mail, meaning that you can post in color, different fonts, bold text, etc. However, many mailing lists contain members that either don't have such functionality or choose not to use it. Posting mail your normal way might result in some angry messages, or worse yet, getting you banned from the list.

Before joining a mailing list and posting, first see what the rules are about using HTML mail. If the list prohibits it or you notice t

[MODIFIED] Mozilla Firefox - Security and Privacy - Do Not Save Form Information
Depending on your Mozilla Firefox configuration, information you key in certain web page forms and the Search Bar may be stored. When you perform searches, Firefox can remind you of these previous searches and let you re-perform the same queries. Also, when you access webpage forms with similar form element names such as "First Name" or "City", Firefox can display the information you typed on the same or similar forms, possibly saving some typing.

While these features may be convenient, they may cause privacy concerns, especially if more than one person uses your computer. Thus, if you want to disable storing form and Search Bar information:

1. Click "Tools" - "Options".

2. When the "Options" dialog box appears, click "Privacy".

Windows Vista - Explorer - Modify the SendTo Menu
When you right-click on a file or folder, a "Send To" menu appears, allowing you to create a Desktop shortcut, compress files, send files as attachments, and more.

In previous versions of Microsoft Windows, it was easy to modify this list of items. Simply creating a shortcut in the user's "SendTo" folder, directly underneath the "Documents and Settings" folder, did the trick. Windows Vista, however, places this folder in a different location.

Either Navigate to the following folder in Explorer:

C:\Users\ [YOUR_USERNAME] \ AppData \ Roaming \Microsoft \Windows \SendTo

(Replace YOUR_USERNAME with your Windows username.)
