Now that was an experience and a half!

The weekend has come and gone. I gave my presentation in a (to me) foreign language and I must say it was a rousing success. Everything went pretty much as I planned. The audience laughed a lot and it wasn't at me :) From this I learned a couple of important lessons.

When giving a presentation, even if you are not going to read from a script, it is important to note the points that you wish to cover. For example I prepared the presentation with each slide having a series of major points. Then for each points I made notes of what other points I wanted to cover. I did not script my whole speech, not unless you wish to see everybodies dentures when they yawn :) In my particular case my notes were not even in the language that I was going to give the presentation with.
